This courses goal is to increase children’s over all computer awareness, inspire critical thinking and problem solving skills while providing public services centered around computers. The first hour of the course will be an open free form discussion talking about what the children want to know about computers like: Hardware, Operation Systems, Software, Security, Internet Safety, Hacking, Viruses, Worms, Networking, Open Source, Social Networks, Copy write laws, Privacy or Ethics. The second hour will be geared toward hands on trouble shooting, problem resolution and community service for the greater good. Come join me to learn, work and make a difference in our community!
Kevin Colussi graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems and Operations Management in 1995. Over the last 15 yrs he has worked for companies like Honeywell, Northern Arizona University and Volvo in the areas of software development, security and design methods and techniques. Kevin and his family moved to the area 1.5 yrs ago and is a full-time consultant telecommuting to the east coast. Kevin is also the founder of a local organization called Kids Without which provides used computers to those in the Helena area who don’t have them. When he isn’t working he enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 children in the outdoors and just having fun!
